Trees mostly represent a tree of life. In addition, they represent a symbol of antiquity and immense and enduring strength. Some other symbolic meanings of a tree are recovery from illness, ambition or wishes fulfilled, blessings of nature, good fortune, stability, shelter and security.
Bonsai trees represent symbols of mediation, harmony, peace, order of thoughts, balance and all that is good.
i have always been fascinated with bonsai trees since I was a little girl. Through my theme, I was able to finally be able to draw a bonsai tree.
However, i divided the drawing into four sections because i wanted variation in my work and so i decided to add the seasons.
i am not going to follow the rules of nature. Meaning that i will make the grass blue or purple instead of the natural green. This is because, i want to portray that in art, there are no rules that the artist needs to follow.

This is a close-up of the winter section of the bonsai trees. i love the way there are waves, it looks like the wind is blowing through the grass. i did this effect, by making the dots clustered closely to make the dark patches, and the dots that are loosely clustered are done by making the dots further away from each other.
I did the black in the corner, to make it seem like a picture is fading away. I will continue with this, in the top corner and the side (and also on the other side).
Since the grass is blue, this represents the season of winter. Everything dies and goes underground in winter, so that it can once again bloom in spring. However, I have not portrayed this because, the bonsai tree has blue leaves. Meaning that even in winter, the tree is alive. Also, while everything is dead around the tree, the tree is still alive and contains its leaves. This represents that there is always hope.

In the corner, are the pens that I have used and will continue to use for the reminder of the work.
I love the red leaves, I really like the color. I did not make the grass red, because I thought of making it brown. I did this because I wanted to represent that while the tree is full of life, the grass is dead.

I still have to finish the grass, and the background. However, since the dots are tightly clustered and close together it takes longer to do.
Below is a close-up of the red section of the tree. Since the branch goes onto the other side, I did not have to do that part. Despite this, I am going to keep the color of the tree constant, and keep it brown.

Here I have completed the whole tree. I love the green and the red part of the tree.
I am going to add black to the branches and the tree part, to make it stand out more and add more of a 3D effect. I am also going to add light blue to the green and orange to the yellow part of the branches. This will also make a more of a 3D effect.
First I was going to make the background correspond with the branches. This was so that the seasons would be more visible and the separate sections would be more obvious.
Instead of doing this, I am going to keep the background color consistent by making it light blue.

This is the final, finished and matted picture of work# 3 and 4. The reason that it is work 3 and 4 is because that stippling takes a long time and because of this it is worth two works.
The parts that took the longest to complete was the light blue background and the grass. This is because the dots were closely clustered together and therefore, this took a longer time to complete.
In the bottom part of the background, I made the effect sort of like clouds, by make it light and then dark patches. I was planning on making most of it medium dark but then i noticed that the light dark and light effect looked better so I just left it.
